Pas seulement

The idea of meeting as a pretext for dance, brings together Amala Dianor and four male dancers from the Strasbourg region, with whom he shared several days of intensive work, working toward a creation based on elements of the physical encounters between the men onstage.
Continuing in the vein of the regional project called Overflow, which happened in 2014 in the Pays de la Loire region, targeting young up and coming dancers about to turn professional, the idea for this piece was to help the artists to fully experience the creative process as well as how it feels to be on a professional tour, stepping fully into the current contemporary choreographic scene and possibly joining other professional companies.
The dancers step away from the well-known techniques of hip hop, entering entirely new territory: this is the choreographic goal which goes significantly beyond mere dance steps. They willingly enter this more fragile space, more vulnerable, less certain.
Finding shared movement and timing in their bodies are the most important elements in Pas seulement.
