Julien Breton / Kaalam

Having worked since 2001 on the creation of a Latino-Arabic calligraphic language, this artist has developed his own Latin alphabet directly inspired by the aesthetic of Arab calligraphy, under the influence of the calligrapher Hassan Massoudy. This alphabet allows him to generate calligraphy with a Middle Eastern flavor but which is also readable in French. In addition to paper calligraphy, he works with light painting which he has presented more than 100 times around the world, notably at the Louvre, the festival of lights in Lyon, at Creativity Day in Milan, and in Abu Dhabi.…).
